Challenge—
With more than 7,000 employees globally, collaboration, mobility and security were key challenges for a leading electronic design automation company. As a result, they chose Microsoft 365 to help support mobility, enhance collaboration and accelerate innovation. Looking to deploy quickly, the company initially opted to manage their deployment and adoption program internally. But, after early efforts to drive adoption failed to meet expectations, the company and its Microsoft Customer Success Manager (CSM) began looking for trusted partner. The CSM turned to Vitalyst as a trusted Partner in the Adoption and Change Management space, to help evaluate and provide recommendations to jumpstart their adoption program.
Vitalyst Solution
Vitalyst started by engaging key stakeholders from teams including IT, Communications, R&D and Desktop Support through hands-on Change Enablement Workshops. The findings from these workshops fueled a customized adoption plan, focused on driving active use of Microsoft Intune, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.
Results
Beginning in February 2018, the Vitalyst team delivered an initial 90-day adoption program—engaging with more than 1,800 of the company’s employees around the globe. As a result, the company has been able to realize the value of their investment in Microsoft technology and empower their employees.
The Senior Group Director, Global IT Infrastructure and Operations at the company recently shared, “Today, all 4,000 mobile devices are registered and managed in Intune. Having this level of access to their business productivity tools through a mobile device simplifies employees’ lives.. For example, because my device is registered in Intune, I can use the Teams app on my smartphone, anytime I need to.”
Based on the results of this program, the company is actively investigating additional adoption programs to help them further drive maximum value realization from Microsoft 365—supporting their mission to empower their employees to innovate. Presently, the Microsoft team is working to integrate Vitalyst services into the company’s renewal contract.
